Environmental consciousness was already very strong during my school days. Throughout my professional career, I have not only transformed my workplace habits but have made significant changes in my personal and social circle as well.

  • Conducting 9 workshops with the Qatar hotel industryin cooperation of Qatar Green Building Counsil, Qatar Tourism and Supreme Committee of Delivery and Legacy and co-author of the resulting publication "Green Hospitality in Qatar - Green Hotels, Challenges and Pathways"
  • Completion of the Sustainable Hotel Course - GSTC Training (SHC-2105), from the Global Sustainability Tourism Council
  • Completion of the GSTC Sustainable Tourism Training Program (STTP) and achiving the GSTC Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism 
  • Green Key Re-Certification of 11 previously awarded hotels in Qatar

  • I was an integral part of the Qatar Green Building Council being awarded, National Operator for the Green Key Internation Hotel Certification. The programme has been recognized by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the UN Environment (UNEP), and the Green Key criteria are recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council
  • Speaker at the Hotelier Middle East Qatar Hospitality Summit
