My Responsibilitis

UCI 2016 Road World Championship - Doha 2016 Qatar

 

Key Figures

  • World Championship with 74 countries participating
  • 8 days of competition (09.10.2016 - 16.10.2016)
  • 12 races, including team time trial, individual time trial and road races with 4 different starting point in Doha and surrounding

During the preperation and planing time my role was

Head of Medical Services

with some of the following responsibilities

  • coordination of 3 medical services providers to provide best possible medical coverage for athletes, delegations, VIP guests, spectators and workforce
  • develope policies, procedures and flow charts for a smooth operation during the event
  • design the layout for the Athlete Medical Centre and planning of 4 additional First Aid stations
  • planning the man power
  • accreditation and zoning access for all medical staff
  • coordinating the catering for the medical staff

During games time my role was

Head of Medical Services

with some of the following responsibilities

  • coordination and management of the 100+ medical staff along the race courses
  • ensuring best possible medical coverage for athletes, VIP guests, spectators and workforce
  • conducting daily team meetings
  • close coordination with security and other functional areas at the venues
  • ensuring that all materials and consumables are on site
  • ensuring well being of the staff
  • represetative in the MOC (Main Operation Center)

Doha 2015 - IPC Athletics World Championship

 

Key Figures

  • World Championship with 74 countries participating
  • 9 days of competition (22.10.2015 - 31.10.2015)
  • 1 competition venue with 13,000 seats capacity & additional 1 training venue
  • 1300 athletes and 900 delegates
  • 10 hotels

During the preperation and planing time my role was

Coordinator - Medical Committee

with some of the following responsibilities

  • coordination of 3 medical services providers to provide best possible medical coverage for athletes, delegations, VIP guests, spectators and workforce
  • planning and fit out of medical rooms in the Ezdan hotel
  • planning the man power of total 180 staff
  • accreditation and zoning access for all medical staff
  • coordinating the catering for the medical staff

During games time my role was

Venue Medical Manager

with some of the following responsibilities

  • coordination and management of the 100+ medical staff at the Qatar Sports Club stadium
  • ensuring best possible medical coverage for athletes, VIP guests, spectators and workforce
  • conducting daily team meetings
  • close coordination with security and other functional areas in the venue
  • ensuring that all materials and consumables are on site
  • ensuring well being of the staff
  • represetative in the MOC (Main Operation Center)

Doha 2015 - AIBA World Boxing Championships

  • 9 days of competition (06.10.2015 - 15.10.2015)
  • 1 competition & training venue, with 7,700 seats capacity
  • 258 athletes
  • 2 hotels

My Responsibilitis

During the preperation and planing time my role was

Coordinator - Medical Committee

with some of the following responsibilities

  • coordination of 3 medical services providers to provide best possible medical coverage for athletes, delegations, VIP guests, spectators and workforce
  • planning and fit out of medical rooms in the Ezdan hotel
  • planning the man power of 120 total staff
  • accreditation and zoning access for all medical staff
  • coordinating the catering for the medical staff
  • cost calculation for medical coverage of the spectators and VIP guests

During games time my role was

Venue Medical Manager

with some of the following responsibilities

  • coordination and management of the 40+ medical staff Ali bin Hamad Al Attiya multi purpose sports hall
  • ensuring best possible medical coverage for athletes, VIP guests, spectators and workforce
  • attending daily venue meetings
  • close coordination with security and other functional areas in the venue
  • ensuring that all materials and consumables are on site
  • ensuring well being of the staff
  • daily incident reports
  • represetative in the MOC (Main Operation Center)

 

Qatar 2015 - 24th Men's Handball World Championship

  • World Championship with 24 countries participating
  • 16 days of competition (15.01.2015 - 01.02.2015)
  • 3 competition & training venues, with 5,500, 7,700 and 15,000 seats capacity
  • 400 athletes and delegates
  • 360 medical staff involved

My Responsibilitis

During the preperation and planing time my role was

Administrative Coordinator - Medical Committee

with some of the following responsibilities

  • coordination of 4 medical services providers to provide best possible medical coverage for athletes, delegations, VIP guests, spectators and workforce
  • planning and fit out of medical rooms in the competition venues and hotels
  • planning the man power
  • accreditation and zoning access for all medical staff
  • coordinating the catering for the medical staff

During games time my role was

Venue Medical Manager

with some of the following responsibilities

  • coordination and management of the 40+ medical staff in a 5500+ seats multi purpose sports hall
  • ensuring best possible medical coverage for athletes, VIP guests, spectators and workforce
  • attending daily venue meetings
  • close coordination with security and other functional areas in the venue
  • ensuring that all materials and consumables are on site
  • ensuring well being of the staff
  • daily incident reports

In Germany and Switzerland

From 2003 until 2005 I was working part time in catering for VELOMAX event management, the owner/operator of the 2 largest Multi-purpose Arenas, in Berlin. The event portefolio included music concerts, kids enterainment and sport event like basketball championships and indoor cycling championships.

During the 2006 FIFA World Cup (taking place in German) I was working at the Park Inn By Radisson, Berlin ALexanderplatz Hotel and during the UEFA Euro Cup 2008 (taking place in Austria and Switzerland) at the Park Inn By Radisson, Zurich Airport, delivering exceptional experiences to the guests and visitors of the turnament.
